Introduction
This is the official website of Lord Carter's review of legal aid procurement. The review began on 5 July 2005 and published its report on 13 July 2006.
The review considered the means by which to deliver the Government’s vision, set out in A Fairer Deal for Legal Aid, for procuring publicly funded legal services, particularly criminal defence services.
